Dancing with emotion and desire, a challenge with passion, control and tenderness. That’s Tango!
CultinationaL organises a dance week in collaboration with Mitango Marian Breedveld at Werkplaats Thiérache in the French Ardennes.

During this tango holiday week, apart from the technique of dancing, the main focus will be on dancing with the music as a common source of inspiration. Everyone is welcome to join in. Besides the group lessons, there will be plenty of time for individual attention with both teachers catering to everyone’s level of experience. We prefer to see applications in pairs, as couples or occasional couples. If you register on your own, we will see if there is someone else with whom you can participate, so that the group has an even number of people. All combinations are possible and workable in dancing.

There are two classes a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In the evening there is a guided practice, where everyone can practice and process what has been covered in their own way with our support. And otherwise, the dance floor is open for free dancing and fun.
In the course of the week, various themes will be covered: elements needed to shape our dance, such as finding the connection in the couple, movement motives, communication, experiencing music together, improvisation and, of course, fine and useful tango moves.

Parallel to this tango week for dancers, CultinationaL, in collaboration with Studio Harcigny is organising a tango week for musicians in the neighbouring village, led by Kay Sleking. his is an outdoor opportunity to meet and inspire each other during the week with dance and live music. At the end of the week, a dance evening is organised together with the tango musicians, led by Kay Sleking at the local wine merchant.

Stefan & Marian have developed their own approach to dance, seeking optimal movement dynamics and expression in flexible close embrace. Starting from a delicate and subtle connection, they use their deep understanding of basic motifs to challenge and reinvent familiar movements. In their classes, they strive to give each dancer the freedom needed to transform the music into movement together with the partner in a dynamic yet relaxed way. They have been working together for over 13 years and give weekly classes in Nijmegen and Eindhoven and Tilburg, in addition to special workshops and seminars.
