The first workshop starts at 6pm and will have the topic: Finding the Right Moment to Change the Embrace.
Changing the embrace during a dance can sometimes lead to miscommunication. In this workshop, we’ll focus on when and how to transition between open and closed embraces, setting your connection up for success and ensuring a smooth, clear transition for both partners. The workshop will last about 70 minutes.
The second workshop then starts no later than 19.15 with the topic: The Musicality and Magic of Milonga.
Learn to tap into the rhythmic possibilities of milonga and discover how to enhance your comfort and creativity while dancing. We’ll focus on how to apply various musicalities of milonga with essential sequences that will move you on the dance floor. This workshop will also last about 70 minutes.
Both workshops are suitable for dancers of an intermediate level. And will be followed as a pair. Registration is not necessary.
1 Workshop costs 17 euros per person, if you follow them both you will pay 30 euros for both workshops per person.
Keep dancing after the workshop during our Tango Café (entrance fee a 6 euros not included)
Florencia Marioni & Yerpun Castro approach Argentine Tango in a holistic, integral, organic way; the aim is to provide tools to understand Tango in a simple and clear way, without the use of force to communicate, but rather a deep connection. The philosophy offers a way of dealing with dance based on the uniqueness of each person.
Florencia Marioni lives in Buenos Aires where she teaches at the Escuela Mundial de Tango Gabriela Elías. As part of her European tour this summer, Florencia is teaching and performing with Yerpun Castro in the Netherlands, most recently in Zwolle and in Amsterdam.
Yerpun Castro, originally from Chile and a former musician, started taking tango lessons in 2007. His career in music and Alexander’s technique classes played a crucial role in his love for tango dance and his approach to teaching, focusing on connection, the quality of embrace, posture, sensitivity, aesthetics and musicality.
