Joe Powers is an internationally acclaimed harmonica player, composer and recording artist. He plays many genres of music and specialises in playing Argentine tango music. Joe started playing harmonica when he was two years old and majored in music composition at the University of Oregon. An award-winning harmonica virtuoso, he is known for bending and mixing genres from Jazz to Classical, Blues to World music and Argentine Tango. Joe Powers has collaborated with renowned Tango maestros and has performed with a variety of groups and artists and toured with bands such as Otros Aires, Tanghetto and Narcotango. During his European tour in 2023, Joe appeared at tango festivals in Brittany, France, Bayonne, France and at the Gryf Tango Weekend in Szczecin, Poland.
Joe performs tonight as a solo artist. He will play 20-minute danceable Tango songs on the harmonica twice, standing in the middle of the dance floor while the dancers dance around him, making the experience very intimate and special. Here is a foretaste.

The Tango Café starts at 8.30 pm and lasts until midnight. Before the Tango Café, there will be a Musicality workshop by Joe and Isabel Camano. More about this workshop here.
