At one of TipoTango’s legendary 4-D fests, Julien Blondel’s Roulotte Tango Quartet from France performed. At the time, they made an overwhelming impression on us with their energetic and sensitive way of playing. The pieces flew off! Afterwards, it turned out that some strings of our grand piano had not survived the spectacle and had to be replaced.
We look forward to welcoming them to Scala again this year at our 25th anniversary celebration of TipoTango.
Meanwhile, Roulotte Tango has developed into a tango collective that performs in various formations. For our party, they will come with five musicians:

Laura Al-Tinaoui – violin
Mathilde Barrillot – double bass
Oriol Martinez Codinachs – guitar
In this composition, they will play traditional, instrumental and highly danceable music at Scala. On Saturday 12 October for all dancers present and on Sunday 13 October for dancers and other interested parties. The 13 October performance is a gift from TipoTango to the city of Eindhoven. Feel welcome to come and enjoy an orchestra of great class with us.
